However, company profiles are created on Owler for a number of reasons:

1. Our web crawler detects a new website associated with a business.

2. An Owler member searches for your company and doesn't find it, so they request it is added.

3. If another company adds you as a competitor or an investor, so we generate a profile to document that relationship.

4. Someone, including an employee of your company, requests a profile be created.
